Some time away

Well it seems the slaves wanted something called a 'holiday', this meant being away from us.  How they thought this was acceptable I will never know, surely they must realise they are slaves, therefore not entitled to time away from catering for our every need.  We figured the day had arrived when the vet transportation boxes were placed on the kitchen floor.  We duly allowed ourselves to be transported but we made sure that Eowyn and Pandora understood they had to meow and cry all the way in the car to make the slaves feel guilty.  Which they did, mission accomplished.

On arrival at our accommodation for the week I was duly impressed to see we had live food all around us.  Chickens, lots of them.  Turns out they weren't our food but it was amusing all the same to watch them.  The picture above is me checking out some of our temporary home.  The slaves had thoughtfully provided some of our favourite toys to keep us company.

Schrodinger was not at all happy.  He spent the whole time away complaining about the lack of slaves to sleep on.  Fair enough, there were not any slaves to sleep on but we were provided with a light that gave off some awesome heat to sleep under.  Perfect for getting the fur all sweaty.

Eowyn spent most of her time in the outside area of our accommodation once she realised she had an audience of appreciative male cats, the hussy.  She claimed it was so she could see the chickens better but really, who is she kidding.

Pandora on the other hand, well what can we say.  I do believe the above picture says it all.  We thought he had kicked his drug habit but here we see him sniffing madly at a blanket in the hope it has some catnip secreted away.  It didn't, but this image just goes to show how desperate he can become.

We are back at home with the slaves now, we enjoyed our time away (except Schrodinger) but we have decided to make sure we do not let this happen again.  We like our slaves to be accessible at all times.
